When creating a new Email Broadcast, here are the configuration fields:

Subscription List(s)

The Subscription Lists contain the users that will receive the broadcast.

You may:

  • Select an Existing Subscription List

  • Select multiple lists (Crtl + Command)

  • Select ‘None’ → must upload a .csv File by clicking the ‘I want to create a new Email Subscription List’ Radio Button below.

A single Subscription List can be populated in multiple Campaigns. (i.e. an Email Subscription Campaign can add users to a Subscription List, and then use the Email Broadcast tool periodically to message the Subscribed users.)

I want to use and discard a file

Select this option if you wish to use a file containing the list of email addresses but not create a new Distribution List. When using this option you can specify a CSV or xlsx file (optionally compressed as zip) that includes more than one field.

  • The first line must contain a header with parameter names used to customize the message.

  • The first field must contain the email address, any additional values are personalized parameters to be used in the email body.

Text to be used for the Email Subject line

This is the message that is inside of the Email body. You can use the WYSIWYG editor to include rich formatting in the messages, and reference any personalized parameters in the recipientsfile using their names on the file header.

For example, if the content of a CSV file is

email,name,seat, Frank, 31B

the text field could be:

Hi {name}, your seat number is {seat}

Each user will receive a personalized message including the field values from the .csv file.

In this example the Email received by the recipient would be the following:

Hi Frank, your seat number is 31B

Delivered to the email address

Additional content to be included in the email body via Dropbox.

Note that this content will not be included as an actual Email attachment. A link to the file will be included inline so that recipients can click the link and download the content
